A Principal with Southern California Edison, David currently leads the Energy Contract Management team with responsibility for managing SCE’s procurement relationships with third-party energy providers (such as traditional, conventional fuel power plants and renewable energy resources including solar and wind farms and Distributed Energy Resources). Totaling approximately $4 billion, annually, this procurement activity supplies over 2/3rds of the safe, reliable, and clean energy SCE provides to approximately 14 million Californians.
David has held several roles with SCE, from his time as an attorney in the Law Department, where he handled litigation and transactional matters, to leadership roles covering cybersecurity, reliability, vendor management, commodity market trading, OSHA/safety, and other areas.
In addition, David is a sought-after speaker, serving as a frequent guest speaker on technology, energy, and regulatory matters. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the Georgetown Cybersecurity Law Institute, a Planning Commissioner for the City of Pasadena, California, and an active alumni leader at Long Beach City College, the University of Southern California, and the Georgetown University Law Center. Previously, David served as Chair of the State Bar of California’s Committee on Group Insurance Programs.
