Shaun has over 20 years experience in industry before returning to Univerity as a lecturer for Service innovation. During his industrial phase he supported power plant operations and maintenance with Smart Solutions, constructed service contracts based on ‘power by the hour’ concepts that were underpinned with digital technologies, often technologies that are based on lean and Six-Sigma methodologies. Since returning to university he has been focused on service business development for industrial firms, this has included research on Smart Services in a number of process industries. He currently is coaching an international cohort of Master students researching into Smart Services.

Since 1958, the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture has contributed and strengthened Switzerland as a business location by providing bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, continuing education programs and applied research.
