Mr Jens Kaatze is heading the Commercial Operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America of the Business Unit Polycarbonates within Covestro (formerly Bayer Material Science). Before this position he was responsible for the Global Product Management In the same segment.

After graduating in mathematics and business administration from the University of Mannheim (Germany), he joined Bayer in 2002. He held various positions in controlling and corporate development, sales, marketing, product management and procurement as well as general management. In his 16 years with the company he has been working in the corporate offices as well as all business units including basic chemicals, films, polyurethanes and now polycarbonates. His career took him to Leverkusen, Germany, Pittsburgh, USA and Shanghai, PR China.
